Every manager wants their employees to be enthusiastic at work and be productive. But are they helping their employees stay motivated and use their talents to the fullest?

Reviewing employee performance is a good idea but reviewing alone doesn’t help the employees improve themselves. Here’s what you can do to improve your employee performance after reviewing their current performance.

1. Address Performance Issues

One of the most important aspects of an annual performance review is to address the performance issues of your employees. Although these issues are followed up and talked about on a regular basis, you need to have more focused talk on these issues during the review.

How Engagedly Can Help:

Engagedly’s Cascading Goals feature helps you keep track of the employee performance and rate their performance. This can be used as a record to discuss the performance issues of your employees. Know more about the feature here – Cascading Goals & Objectives.

2. Reward accomplishments

Rewarding the accomplishments of your employees and supporting them is also as important as talking about the areas they need to improve themselves. Motivate them by giving them positive feedback and telling them how valuable they are for your organization. Rewards need not always be monetary; you can send a group email to all your employees addressing their contribution to the company’s growth.

How Engagedly Can Help:

Engagedly’s Feedback feature also lets you praise your employees for their accomplishment on your organization’s social feed. This helps you keep your employees motivated and stay more productive.

3. Set Clear Goals

Every manager wants their employees to be productive and innovative at work. But what most managers forget is to set proper goals for their employees. Any employee works better when he is given a proper direction. So, set clear goals for your employees so that you can keep track if they are meeting your expectations.

How Can Engagedly Help:

Engagedly’s Cascading Goals feature allows you to set goals for your direct reports and keep track of their performance. Know more about the feature here.

4. Encourage Innovation

Allow your employees to experiment and learn. Let them be creative, this helps them re-invent themselves and their work constantly. Encourage new ideas from your employees and make them realize why creativity is important.

How Can Engagedly Help:

The social feature in Engagedly allows the users to share knowledge and new ideas with the organization. You can also take an initiative through Engagedly and approve employee ideas through it.

5. Give Immediate Feedback

You do not always have to wait for annual performance reviews to come to give your employee feedback. Give them immediate feedback so that they can correct and improve themselves as soon as possible if needed.

How Can Engagedly Help:

Engagedly’s Feedback feature allows you to give feedback time to time and you can keep record of all the feedback you received and shared.
