We’ve made some changes to the user interface in the Goals module. Also, we’ve now made it easy to view goals (be they yours or your direct reports) with the addition of filters!

We’ve made some changes to the Goals module. This includes user interface changes as well as the introduction of some new enhancements and features.

Dashboard (Org Dashboard)

In the Dashboard (in the Org Dashboard particularly), you will notice a new statistic on the right hand. Clicking on this statistic shows you how many users are currently without active goals in the organization. Site administrators can click on this statistic and then send notifications to users who are without any currently active goals.

The notification can include a customized message by the site administrator or the site administrator can just use the default message.

Goals

On the Goals page, you can now filter according to the page you want to see. By default, a user will see the My Goals view. However, if you have any direct reports or are a site administrator, you can use the filter to view My Team and My Org as well.

My Goals

On the My Goals page, all your own goals are visible to you. This includes goals you have created for yourself, goals that have been assigned to you and goals that you have cascaded to other users.

You can filter this page to view goals according to:

  • My Check-ins – Goals where you have to check-in your progress.
  • Assigned by me – All the goals that you have assigned to your direct reports or people in other departments.
  • Cascaded by me – All the goals you have cascaded to others. You may or may not be contributing to these goals.

Additionally, you can also filter the goals based on dates, active or archived.

My Team

On the My Team page, a manager can view the goals of their direct reports. The default view is the list view. It can also be viewed through the hierarchy view. Managers can view the page through two filters: view by users (which is the default view) or view by goals. They can further filter the goals by status (active/archived) or even date.

The addition of a search function allows managers to search for users by name when ‘View By Users’ is selected and by goals, when ‘View By Goals’ is selected.

My Org

On the My Org page, a site administrator can view the goals of all the users in the organization. The default view is the list view. It can also be viewed through the hierarchy view. Site administrators can view the page through two filters: view by users (which is the default view) or view by goals. They can further filter the goals by status (active/archived) or even date.

The addition of a search function allows site administrators to search for users by name when ‘View By Users’ is selected and by goals, when ‘View By Goals’ is selected.

Goal Creation

When creating a goal, it is now possible to add contributors to the goal during the time of creation itself. Before, contributors could only be added once a goal had been created.

To add contributors, a user has to select the Cascade option and then click on ‘+Add Contributors’ to search and add users to the goal.
