At Engagedly, now your organization can have users synced from multiple HRIS systems.

Objective

Earlier, it was not possible to sync users from different HRIS systems; we could only sync from one HRIS system. However, this is possible now.

  • Engagedly now supports syncing and integrating multiple HRIS systems for a single organization.

How Does Multiple HRIS Work?

  • Currently, you might be using a single external source to sync users, but hereon, you will be able to use different sources to sync users for your organization’s Engagedly account.
  • Multiple HRIS Integration would help you get all the users from different HRIS systems into the Engagedly system.

Multiple HRIS

  • The users synced from different HRIS systems to Engagedly will be tracked in the back-end with their source of sync.
  • Even though users are added from different HRIS systems, the uniqueness that is followed in the Engagedly system will be applied during the sync.
    • For example, a user with same email ID cannot be added or managed from 2 different HRIS systems.
  • If a user is added from the first HRIS system to Engagedly, the source will be captured. When there is an update on the user’s data only from the recorded source, it will be considered and will be updated in the Engagedly system.
  • If the same user is being synced from a different HRIS system to Engagedly, only the first sync will be successful and the source of the user will be recorded in Engagedly; wherein sync of the same user from the second HRIS would fail due to user uniqueness maintained in the Engagedly system.
  • Updating user details for users who are added from different HRIS systems other than Engagedly would take place, but will not retain after the next sync.
  • If user information like Department, Business Unit, Location, and Employee Type have the same name in 2 different HRIS systems, it would not create a duplicate record. It will have only one record of the same name in Engagedly.
    • For example, user 1 from HRIS 1 is synced to Engagedly with department name as Engineering. So Engineering department is listed under  Settings -> Departments. Next time when user 2 is synced from HRIS 2 with department name as Engineering, it will not create a duplicate entry under Settings -> Departments. Instead, it will map users to the already existing department, Engineering.
  • At the same time, different users can be created from HRIS-1, updated from HRIS-2, and blocked from HRIS -3.
  • Field mappings would remain the same as before, which might be different for different HRIS systems to Engagedly.
