Driving Ultra Performance In Your Teams

Leadership Lessons from 100 Executives and Ultra-Endurance Athletes.

high-performing teams

As many people are burnt out and leaders are dealing with either the Great Resignation or Quiet Quitting, Bryan talks about strategies leaders can take to minimize this from happening in your organization and in your teams.

Bryan Gillette interviewed 100 executives and endurance athletes to understand how they built up those muscles to achieve some extraordinary feats. These included CEOs, CHROs, CIOs, CFOs, Presidents, VCs, Founders, Ironman, and ultra-distance runners. The parallels between what an executive said compared to what an ultra-distance athlete said were astonishing.

In his research, he identified similar leadership traits in all of them and will share his findings.

Bryan’s book, EPIC Performance: Lessons from 100 Executives and Endurance Athletes on Reaching Your Peak is available on Amazon.

The Secret Sauce for Leading Transformational Change

The idea for The Secret Sauce for Leading Transformational Change began during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-2021 with the transformational changes taking place in people’s personal and work lives, and society at large. Over 750,000 people died in the United States, with more than 5,000,000 lives lost globally at the time of this writing. This unprecedented period was characterized by massive disruptions including economic instability, racial and social injustice, declines in mental and physical well-being, remote school and work challenges, and political divisions. Living with all this change and uncertainty prompted questions about what it takes to lead, survive, and even thrive in periods of transformational change.

The book highlights the practical experience of several hundred leaders who contributed their expertise on the art and science of leading transformational change. It includes diverse and sometimes conflicting perspectives on transformational change from CEOs and other senior business leaders, CHROs and other senior HR leaders, transformational change experts, authors, coaches, and consultants. These experts have executed and delivered on transformational change, and share insights, vivid stories, and lessons learned on what to do, how to do it, and what to avoid. There really is a secret sauce for leading transformational change!

How to Responsibly Measure Employee Engagement

Organizations have increasingly been using employee engagement surveys over the last 20 years. Employee engagement’s link to individual and organizational performance makes assessing engagements levels an important strategic initiative for any organization. Measuring employee engagement responsibly requires a careful balance and application of science and practice.

In this webinar we’ll share some evidence based practices used by experts to measure engagement. We’ll share how we have implemented these practices into our E10 engagement survey application which is now available to all of our clients. Additionally, we’ll walk through and share some of the key features of this offering and how they can be used by organizations.

Engagedly is a People Strategy Management Platform with one of its founding principles being “picking up where the engagement survey leaves off”. This guiding principle led us to develop a platform that put the employee experience at the center, designing tools for employees to continuously engage with the organization. With the addition of the employee engagement survey offering we’ve now come full circle and are able to effectively assess and drive employee engagement.

How to Transform the Employee Relationship to Boost Performance, Maximize Engagement, and Save the World

We are engulfed in a battle to attract and retain top talent. While most employers believe they’re competing with other organizations who seek to poach top talent, the real threat is internal. The divide between employers and employees is widening, and both sides are dissatisfied. This can be solved.

Today, an employee’s need to belong, to contribute in a meaningful way, and to feel valued is directly tied to their experience at work. As an employer, you must now go beyond compensation packages, engagement surveys, and office amenities to meet employees’ newest workplace needs.

You can do this by embracing a new leadership approach—one that can make an impact well beyond the boundaries of the past.

In this webinar, you will learn how to:

  • Recognize the 3 forces that are shaping employee needs and expectations
  • Reinforce the 4 critical activities an optimal organization must master
  • Build a 5 step leadership bridge that deeply connects the two sides

Are you ready to reconnect with your employees before it’s too late?

How to Fire People Empathetically

Firing an employee is often viewed as a right of passage for a manager or boss. It can also be incredibly difficult – people are terrified of saying the wrong thing, being the “bad guy,” or even putting the team or company in legal jeopardy. Yet, letting go of an employee who is underperforming or who is not the right fit is necessary. Not doing so can lead to keeping employees for longer than practical, which can lead to compromised morale, lower productivity, and higher costs. But what if there’s another way to look at terminating employment?

In this webinar, The Good Doctors of Abbey Research will teach you how to do the emotional and logistical work of firing an employee effectively while preserving morale, camaraderie, and integrity by using a framework of empathy. They’ll cover not only what empathy actually is (spoiler alert: not just emotions) but how you can operationalize it within your organization with everything from hiring to firing and all points in between.
