“It’s been a stressful week at work dude! I need a break already!”

This is a refrain, we hear all too often. If not from our own colleagues, we hear it from our friends or literally anyone around us. Why? Because workplace stress is real and at one point or the other everyone is affected by it.

There are many studies that have been conducted to show that stress can have adverse health effects. According to USA TODAY, 20% of people experience extreme levels of stress on a daily basis and one of the top reasons for stress is work (65%).

There are many things at the workplace that can cause anxiety and stress.

  • Meeting deadlines
  • Extra work
  • Annoying boss/ Colleagues
  • Workplace culture etc.

But, we are not going to write about stress today. Instead, we are going to tell you about some creatively funny workplace stress-busters that we’ve found for you!

Cuddling Officers

Having pets running around your office isn’t just cute, it’s also a really good stress buster. Imagine these cuddling officers peeking out from behind the laptops and motivating your employees. Allow employees to bring their pets to the office and help your employees be more productive and deal with their stress.

P.S – This should go without saying, but you may need to check first and see if anyone is allergic to pet dander. Furthermore, you will also need to ensure that your cuddling officers don’t become distractions!

Walk It Off

One of the main reasons why employees get stressed is not moving around enough. Sitting at comfortable work-stations and working all-day-long can look like something which doesn’t involve any stress. But it does the opposite; on an average, an employee spends about 6 hours a day sitting in the same place. So motivate your employees to consciously make the effort to get out of their chairs and at least walk for five minutes every one hour so that they don’t end up stressed and with bad backs!

Go Green

This is one of the most simplest things you can do to help your employees deal with stress. Sometimes, just watching nature can soothe one’s mind. Not to mention, looking at the colour green is actually soothing to the eye. So how about bringing some nature to your workplace too? Place an indoor plant in every cubicle.

Table Sports

This is one of the most brilliant employee engagement activities but more importantly, it is an amazing stress-buster.
